Who we are
THE CUBE is a free browser game. Contact: colonalk@gmail.com.
Credit & affiliation
DESTROY THE CUBE is a fan tribute inspired by Curiosity — What's Inside the Cube? by 22cans / Peter Molyneux (2012). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to 22cans or Peter Molyneux in any way.
What we store on your device
Your progress (coins, tools, mined-cubelet count, settings, a random anonymous player id) is saved in your browser's localStorage, on your device only. Clearing your browser data erases it.
The shared cube & leaderboard
The cube itself is shared: which cubelets have been chipped is stored on our game server so every player sees the same cube. If you set a display name, that name and your total mined count are stored on the public leaderboard together with your random anonymous player id. No accounts, no emails, no personal data.
Chat & content rules
The in-game chat forbids hate speech, slurs, harassment, sharing of personal information, spam, and scams. Messages pass through an automatic word filter: hate speech is blocked outright and never delivered; ordinary profanity is masked. Display names pass the same filter. Chat messages are stored briefly (the last 40 per room) and are wiped whenever a cube is destroyed. If you find content that slipped through, email us and we will deal with it.
Advertising
The game is funded by ads served by Google AdSense / Google H5 Games Ads. When you first play, you choose between personalized and non-personalized ads. With non-personalized ads, Google does not use your browsing history for targeting, but may still use cookies or device identifiers for frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregate reporting. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
